Flockes polar bear relatives
The polar bear (Ursus maritimus) lives in the Arctic. Polar bears are the biggest, land living carnivores. Adult males can reach a weight of 300 - 600 kg, while the females are only about half as large.
The fur of the polar bear is white to cream colored, so that the animal is a very good camouflage in the ice. His skin color is black, however. His thick layer of bacon isolates the polar bears together with the excellent fur against the cold. To reduce the heat loss, the polar bear only has very small ears and a short tail. Ideal bears have little heads and the conical body makes them swim very good.
As a semi-country and half marine-animal the polar bear is at the top of the food chain. Its main diet consists of seals, whales and young walrusses. Actually, he eats everything he can hunt.
